FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE POLICE PISTOLCRAFT Adopted for Use as Instructor Manual by the Pennsylvania Deputy Sheriffs’ Training Program, a basic training academy for deputy sheriffs, designed by Temple University and delivered by Penn State at University ParkNovember 2, 2007 -- The text POLICE PISTOLCRAFT: The New Paradigm of Police Firearms Training, has been adopted for use as the primary police firearms instructor manual for the Pennsylvania Deputy Sheriffs’ Training Program, a basic training academy for deputy sheriffs, designed by Temple University and delivered by Penn State at University Park. POLICE PISTOLCRAFT and the New Paradigm of Police Firearms Training incorporates the Point Shooting technique, as well as various psychological conditioning methodologies, dynamic interactive training scenarios, and the tenets of stress inoculation. The program is currently being employed by the Massachusetts State Police and other police departments throughout the world. Numerous other private and public sector entities are currently evaluating POLICE PISTOLCRAFT for use as well, and additional adoptions of the textbook are anticipated as understanding and acceptance of the program continues to spread both nationally and internationally. The book, detailing the first complete police firearms program of its type, is stirring speculation that the long sought "holy grail" of police firearms training - a standardized, effective, affordable, and court-defensible police firearms training program - is finally within reach. The book is available from Saber Press and Law Enforcement Targets. Copies have been distributed throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Afghanistan and Iraq. |
